About Inman, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
The City of Inman is found in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, and as of the 2010 census, about 2,300 people resided here. The city is accessible via Interstates 26 and 85 and is located in the upper Piedmont Region. Nestled in the lower Blue Ridge Mountains, the city is found midway between Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Tryon, North Carolina. The local school district operates four schools within Inman, including Chapman High School, and the Inman Public Library is also found here.
While Inman is primarily a residential community, it is also welcoming to travelers. Residents and visitors have access to nearby Lake Bowen, which offers water recreation like fishing, water skiing, and swimming. The Inman Fresh Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from May through October, and in addition to fresh produce, local vendors sell baked goods, crafts, and homemade treats. The community also hosts an annual celebration each September called the Harvest Day Festival.
Found in South Carolina’s Upstate region, the weather of Inman is hot and humid for much of the year. Average highs during the summer months – from June to September – range in the 80s and low 90s. High humidity levels may lead to uncomfortable conditions, so the right central air conditioner is essential. Just like caring for cars by rotating the tires and changing the oil, Inman residents will also want to perform regular AC maintenance so that units run better and last longer.
The good news is that hot and humid conditions don’t last forever. As the autumn season leads into winter, temperatures will drop down to the 50s and 60s. This is a nice reprieve from the extreme summer season, but it is still important that residents prepare for cold spells. This includes an investment in a reliable heat pump or furnace with regular checkups to ensure efficiency.
